The Ondo State House of Assembly member representing Alagbaka Constituency, Temitope Komolafe has petitioned the Police alleging cyberbullying, defamation, and criminal conspiracy by two persons in his constituency who asked questions about a ₦25 million solar power project.

The members of Komolafe’s constituency on their social media handles demanded an account of his stewardship and specifically questioned how ₦25 million was spent on a 20-unit solar power installation.

The Correspondent reports that rather than providing explanations, Komolafe, through his legal representatives, petitioned relevant authorities alleging a coordinated online attack against him by one Peter Michael and Prince Adekunle Emmanuel.

According to the petition dated June 15, 2025, the duo is accused of “jointly and severally conspiring to use their social media accounts to malign the personality of our client,” suggesting that the lawmaker may have inflated the contract price.

In one social media post cited in the petition, Peter Michael was quoted as saying, “It is that 20 solar only 25 million did,” a statement echoed by Prince Adekunle Emmanuel. The legislator allege that the repeated publication of these statements amounts to cyberbullying and a deliberate attempt to damage Komolafe’s reputation.

He further claimed that Michael and Emmanuel also issued death threats, warning that they would resort to using street urchins to harm the lawmaker if online criticism failed to tarnish his image.

The lawmaker urged authorities to launch a thorough investigation into the “felonious acts” and to prosecute those found culpable.

Efforts to reach Peter Michael nor Prince Adekunle Emmanuel or their representatives were unsuccessful.

Meanwhile the solar project in question was reportedly initiated under a community development scheme to improve access to electricity within Alagbaka.

The Ondo State House of Assembly has yet to comment officially on the matter.
