Edo Voters Urge INEC to Conduct Bye-Elections for Edo Central and Ovia Federal Seats

Concerned Edo State Voters are calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to conduct the bye elections due for 2 federal constituencies in the state.

Dr Ederibhalo Bright the convener of the group in the statement said the affected constituencies namely Edo South Senatorial and Ovia Federal are being denied representation at the National Assembly.

According to him, “INEC should Conduct the Edo Bye-Elections Now as Edo Central and Ovia Federal Constituencies Deserve Continuation of Their Rightful Representation”, at the National Assembly.

He said the both Governor Monday Okpebholo took a bow from the Senate and his deputy, Hon Dennis Idahosa from the House of Representatives, the voices of the two constituencies have gone silent.

“All we are saying is let our peoples’ Voices be heard at the National Assembly. We need our constituency representatives and the relevant funds for development”, he said.

It will be recalled that two months ago the Senate directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct bye-elections for the Anambra South Senatorial District and Edo Central Senatorial District seats.
