The Edo State Government has urged traditional rulers in the state to live above board and promote peace, unity, and prosperity in their respective communities.
Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Umar Ikhilor, stated this while announcing the presentation of letters of appointment and staff of office to three newly appointed traditional rulers.
They are:
His Royal Majesty, Michael Eshioronoya Olorunfemi Sado, the Okuokpellagbe of Okpella in Etsako East Local Government Area;
His Royal Highness, Lucky Ehichioya Imhadojiemu, as the Onojie of Okhuesan; and His Royal Highness, Ehinomen Aigbojie, as the new Onojie of Onogholo, both in Esan South East Local Government Area.
Mr. Ikhilor noted that the government expects the royal fathers to use their positions to foster peaceful coexistence, community development, and support the state government’s drive for grassroots progress.
