A suspected cable thief met his untimely end after being electrocuted while attempting to steal armoured cables from a transformer situated in Evbuomoma.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred within a fenced compound housing the transformer. A video of the lifeless body, which has since gone viral on social media, captured shocked residents questioning how the man managed to access the secured facility.

The development has sparked renewed concerns about the dangers of vandalising public infrastructure and the need for improved community vigilance.
