The National Chairman of Phase 2 of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Ibena Rufus Salvation, on Wednesday led a high-powered delegation of ex-agitators on a solidarity visit to the Administrator of the programme, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, to express their appreciation for the remarkable progress made under his leadership.
During the visit, Ibena praised Dr. Otuaro for his tireless efforts in driving impactful reforms and development within the PAP, noting that the changes recorded so far have restored faith and confidence in the programme.
He described the Administrator’s approach as visionary and people-oriented, especially in the areas of reintegration and empowerment of ex-agitators.
Ibena said, “Dr. Otuaro has shown that he is here to work. The progress within this short time is evident. We came to say thank you and encourage him to keep going strong.”
He emphasized that the Administrator’s achievements reflect the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and urged him to remain aligned with that vision.
He also advised Dr. Otuaro to stay focused and undistracted by negative voices or side issues, stressing the need to concentrate on the core objectives of the programme.
According to Ibena, the PAP remains a beacon of peace and development for the Niger Delta region and must not be allowed to derail.
The visit, which had in attendance the National Spokesman of Phase 2, Timothy Tensibe, and the Bayelsa State Chapter Chairman, Dengo Benin, ended with renewed assurances of support from the ex-agitators, who pledged to continue working with the Administrator to achieve sustainable peace, empowerment, and economic development across the region.
