The Commissioner of Police and Force Provost Marshal at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, has announced a ban on the rearing of livestock—including cows, goats, fowls, snakes, dogs, ducks, and pigeons—within the barracks premises at the national headquarters.

In a memo dated Tuesday, May 20, 2025, and signed by CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, Force Provost Marshal (FPM), with reference number CH:7970/FPM/FHQ/ABJ/VOL. 6/99, all officers residing in the barracks were directed to discontinue any form of animal husbandry on or before June 20, 2025.

The memo emphasized that failure to comply with the directive would result in the forceful ejection of violators from the barracks.

“Failure to comply with this directive will attract forceful ejection,” the memo warned.

The directive concluded with a firm reminder: “Above for your strict compliance, please.”
