Igbinedion University Hosts Annual Law Lecture on Banking Reforms and Policy

Chief Charles Uwensuyi-Edosomwan, SAN, a renowned legal practitioner and Visiting Professor of Law at Igbinedion University, will deliver the Annual Oba Erediauwa College of Law Lecture on Monday, May 26. The lecture is themed “Contemporary Issues in Banking Law and Policy.”

Chief Uwensuyi-Edosomwan is expected to speak extensively on regulatory trends, the challenges of digital banking, and the role of legal frameworks in promoting financial inclusion.

The event is scheduled for 10:00 AM at the University Library Conference Hall of Nigeria’s premier private university, Igbinedion University, Okada. Organized under the auspices of the College of Law, it will bring together distinguished legal minds, scholars, and students.

The lecture series aims to explore the evolving dynamics and policy directions of Nigeria’s banking sector from a legal perspective. It also provides a platform for critical engagement and intellectual discourse on legal reforms and policies that impact national development.

The Chief Host of the event is the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, while the Dean of the Oba Erediauwa College of Law, Professor Osaretin George Izevbuwa, Ph.D., FICA, will also play a key role.
