Trailing closely behind is Nigerian Grammy winner Burna Boy, who boasts an impressive 17.3 billion streams, cementing his place as a global powerhouse.
Rema, the 24-year-old “Calm Down” hitmaker, continues his meteoric rise, securing third place with 9.5 billion streams.
Rounding out the top five are Davido with 9 billion streams and the soulful songstress Tems, who has amassed 8 billion streams, further solidifying the dominance of Nigerian artists on the global stage.
The list highlights the sheer influence of Nigeria’s Afrobeats sound, with the likes of Ayra Starr, Asake, and Omah Lay each hitting 7 billion streams — a phenomenal feat considering their relatively short time in the mainstream spotlight.
Algerian-French rapper Soolking is the only North African act in the top 10, charting at 9th place with 5.1 billion streams.
