Police clampdown on illegal motherless children home in Aba

Abia State Police Command have arrested two individuals for operating an unregistered and illegal motherless babies’ home within their residential apartment located at Ikot Ekpene Road, Aba.

The individuals named Blessing Emebo ‘f’, 49 years and Sunday Emebo ‘m’ 42 years, had twelve (12) children, ranging in age from six months to fourteen years, housed in the premises.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi of the Nigeria Force Headquarters who disclosed this information said that preliminary investigations revealed that the children originated from various villages in the Arochukwu area.

“The rescued minors have s been safely handed over to the Abia State Ministry of Women Affairs for proper care”.

He said, “The suspects are currently under interrogation and would be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigations”.

“These developments underscore the Force’s renewed dedication to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property across the country”.
