Vance Luther Boelter, 57, is still on the run and the police are on his heels hours after he shot two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses at their homes Saturday.
The suspect killed Melissa Hortman, a former Speaker Democrat in the Minnesota House of Representatives, and her husband, Markin Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and shot Democratic state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette in a separate attack in Champlin, Minnesota.
Already the FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information on Vance, who they say worked for an armed home security company and had done security work overseas.
Meanwhile Minnesota state Sen. John Hoffman (D) and his wife, Yvette, are in stable condition after they were shot in their home in the Minneapolis suburb of Champlin, authorities said.
Clues are emerging about the suspects motives as Police officers found a list of Democrats supporting abortion rights and other liberal causes in a vehicle he used.
Police described him as white, about 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) said that state flags will fly at half-staff to honor and remember veteran state Rep. Melissa Hortman (D), who was killed along with her husband in a shooting that Walz had earlier described as an “act of political violence.”
