Edo State government has set up and inaugurated the State Boundary Committee to be headed by the deputy governor, Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa.
The Committee is to ensure accurate intra and inter boundary demarcation, promote peaceful coexistence among communities and foster development in areas affected by conflicts.
It will also collaborate with all key stakeholders and actively engaging with citizens in fulfilling the mandate of the Committee.
Reacting to his inauguration Idahosa appreciated the governor, “for the confidence reposed in us, and with the diverse expertise of prominent Edo citizens on the board, I am confident we will achieve our goals with fairness and equity”.
He said “Today, I was inaugurated by His Excellency, Executive Governor of our dear state, Sen. Monday Okpebholo to serve as Chairman of the newly inaugurated Board of the Boundary Committee.
“On behalf of all members of the Committee, I wish to express our sincere gratitude and acceptance of this responsibility, which we pledge to discharge in fairness, transparently, and with integrity”.
