Imo Reschedules Gov Uzodimma’s State of the State Address

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State will now deliver his State of the State Address to Imonpeople on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the State House of Assembly Complex, New Owerri.

In a special announcement signed by. Declan Emelumba, Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, the Governor’s address is scheduled to commence at 12:00 Noon, with all invited stakeholders expected to be seated before the arrival of His Excellency.

The State of the State Address is an annual event where the Governor outlines government achievements, policy direction, and socio-economic developments across the state.

This year’s edition is particularly significant in assessing the progress made under the Uzodimma-led administration.

Invited guests include:

1. All political office holders at national and state levels

2. Political leaders and party executives across all political parties

3. Leaders of professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), and others

4. Heads of trade unions

5. Religious leaders across denominations

6. Local Government President-Generals of town unions across Imo’s 27 LGAs

7. Eze Imo and Chairmen of Local Government Traditional Rulers’ Councils

8. Members of the Elders’ Council

9. Youth organization leaders

10. Market association executives

11. Transport workers’ union leaders

12. Representatives of civil society organisations
