The first ever Regional Meeting of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) will be hosted in Benin City from Friday, June 27 to Saturday, June 28, 2025, by the Edo State Government.

The event which will bring together governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is being hosted by the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

Governor Okpebholo, who assumed office in November 2024, is hosting the Inaugural regional edition of the PGF meeting, which aims to decentralize deliberations and foster more direct engagement with sub-national realities.

The Progressive Governors Forum, comprising 23 governors of the APC, has in recent months intensified efforts to harmonize policy direction and support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The two-day event is expected to feature technical sessions, a joint communiqué, and courtesy visits, with top state officials, party leaders, and civil society stakeholders in attendance.
