Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori has vowed to strengthen internal cohesion within the party and ensure transparent preparations for the upcoming convention.
He was speaking after he was been sworn in weekend following the resignation of former National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from the position.
In his brief remarks after taking the oath, Dalori emphasized unity, discipline, and inclusiveness as the cornerstones of his leadership.

Until the new National Chairman was Deputy National Chairman (North) of the party. He will be in office pending the meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party to be summoned to fill the vacancy created by the resignation.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, was attended by members of the National Working Committee (NWC), state party leaders, and other top stakeholders.
Dalori, a grassroots politician from Borno State, is widely seen as a calm and strategic leader. He has played key roles in the APC’s internal negotiations and reconciliation efforts since the 2023 general elections.
His elevation to the top party position is being interpreted by analysts as a move that could restore internal balance and prepare the APC for upcoming off-cycle governorship polls and the 2027 elections.
Ganduje in a farewell message, thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of the party for the opportunity to serve.
